Joining Intern2China is simple and structured. The application window usually closes about 1 month before the start of each program. For more information, please visit our Program-page.
Only complete applications will be reviewed. After approval, you’ll receive onboarding guidance and pre-departure instructions.

Required Documents to get Started
Submit your CV, a signed Internship Agreement, proof of student status, and a motivation letter (answering 3 short questions)

Required Payments to get Started
Provide proof of payment of the support fee (€350 incl. VAT)
Pricing, Scholarships & Grants
The internship support fee (ISF) is €350 (incl. VAT). This covers:
• Internship matchmaking
• Pre-arrival guidance
• Cultural orientation
• Ongoing support in China
Please note that applications without proof of transfering the ISF won’t be taken seriously!
Scholarships are available through national and university programs.
You may be eligible if you’re:
• A Dutch student (via DUO, Erasmus+, student identity card)
• A Belgian or Luxembourgish student (check local agencies)
Please apply for grants directly through your national education services. BenCham does not manage scholarship approval.

General outline and Schedule
The Intern2China journey is designed to offer cultural immersion, language learning, and real work experience:
• Arrival in Shanghai on the suggested date (see Programs).
• Welcome & Orientation on the very 1st (including cultural and practical workshops)
• Chinese Language & Culture Program: 3 weeks (see Programs)
• Mandarin classes, company visits, cultural excursions
• Internship begins: After you’ve completed the language courses.
This structure ensures participants are well-prepared before starting their professional experience in China.
